Trained Nurses, Care and Support Workers

About Us

We have an excellent team of highly skilled and professional support, care and nursing staff to meet the needs of all our Service Users. All of Purple Balm’s carers, support staff and nurses have been carefully recruited, referenced and inducted to be able to perform their duties to the highest standards.

Purple Balm retains a complete record of all their qualifications, credentials and prior experience. All nursing, care and support staff have enhanced disclosures from the Criminal Records Bureau before they start work and then receive ongoing training, support and supervision.

All staff have as a minimum:

• Good levels of numeracy and literacy.

• Successfully completed our mandatory 5 day induction course that introduces them to our ethos, policies and procedures and the way we work as well as specific practical training. Our induction course follows Skills for Care’s common induction standard.

• All our staff also attend at least two stand alone study days per year to enhance their knowledge and practice.
